We would like you to be our guest at a special play reading honoring renowned Academy Award and Golden Globe winning actress Olympia Dukakis and starring her brother, Apollo Dukakis. In addition to her many honors, Olympia was also a Master Teacher for the Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship Program at Ten Chimneys.
Prior to Olympia’s death in 2021, Apollo began to write the play You & Me when he and Olympia wanted to find something new to act in together. It was to be, and is, a tribute to their time growing up. Then the pandemic hit, and Olympia’s health began to decline. After she passed away, he finished the play with the final scene envisioning her visiting from the afterlife. Along with the play reading there will be scenes shown from movies Olympia starred in.
Joining Apollo, Olympia will be portrayed by actress and 2015 Lunt-Fontanne Fellow, Phyllis Kay. Phyllis has been a resident actor with the Trinity Repertory Company in Rhode Island for 30 years and has appeared in several notable films and television shows.
We invite you and your guest to join us for a matinee performance FREE OF CHARGE on either Saturday, April 9th or Sunday, April 10th, both at 2:00 PM. Reservations are required and are on “first come, first serve” availability.
