Summit On Invasive Species June 26, 2021

Ten Chimneys Foundation invites you to see and hear more about our ongoing plans to revive Ten Chimneys' ecological habitat.  The work has continued for a year in one of the largest private clearing endeavors in southeastern Wisconsin.  In this free event open to the public, our experts will share more about the significance of Ten Chimneys' extensive multi-year stewardship project and also what you can do to eradicate invasive species on your own property.

Speakers from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Midwest Prairies will tell us about the importance of the removal of invasive and non-native flora that threatens indigenous trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.  These efforts allow the growth of native plants to flourish along with the return of wildlife.  The ecological health and beauty of our historic grounds is being restored, as your own can be.

This event will be on Saturday, June 26th and begin at 11 am.  While this is a free event, space is limited.  Please call us at 262-968-4110 to reserve your seat.

And a special treat!  Immediately after the Summit itself, we will also offer a special Architectural and Grounds Tour.  Two options will be available - a longer walking tour from the Program Center to the Estate, making your way along the pathways and driveway (weather permitting), OR a shorter tour made by shuttle with no stops.  Either option is $10 per person.  In addition, your $10 can be put toward a regular Full Estate Tour if taken by July 10th.  Reservations for the Architectural and Grounds Tour are required prior to June 26th.
