One weekend a year, a celebrated musician brings the Noël Coward Piano and the Lunts’ mural-filled Drawing Room back to life with Music in the Drawing Room. In April, we welcomed John Eaton — widely considered one of America’s greatest jazz pianists, and one of the foremost interpreters of American music. Mr. Eaton gave a different performance each evening: On April 19th, Indiana on Our Minds: The Songs of Cole Porter and Hoagy Carmichael; on the 20th, Cotton Club Blues and Concert Hall Rhapsodies: The Music of George Gershwin and Harold Arlen; and on April 21st, The Founding Fathers: Songs of Irving Berlin and Jerome Kern.
